This is a challenging trekking journey with several long uphill and downhill walks. Basic trekking experience and good fitness are recommended. It is not a regular sightseeing tour.
The trip starts with pickup from Haridwar and ends with a drop at Pune/ Mumbai.
The difficulty ranges from moderate to difficult. Some days involve 10β20+ km of trekking, with steep sections and high-altitude terrain. A regular walking and fitness routine before the trip is strongly recommended.
The journey covers Kedarnath, Madhyamaheshwar, Tungnath, Rudranath and Kalpeshwar.
Good trekking shoes, warm layers, rain protection, a small daypack, personal medicines, water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, headlamp and basic toiletries are recommended.
Accommodation varies depending on the location. We use hotels/guesthouses at road-accessible places and camps or simple mountain stays at remote trekking locations.
Breakfast and dinner are included as mentioned in the package. Lunch is generally not included unless specifically mentioned.
You should carry only the essentials required for the trek. Porter/mule arrangements, if required, depend on availability and are generally payable separately unless specifically included in the package.
No. Pony, palki, porter and helicopter services are not included unless specifically mentioned in the package.
Is there mobile network throughout the trek?
No. Network connectivity can be limited or unavailable in several remote sections of the route. It is best to inform family members beforehand.
Yes. Mountain weather, road conditions, local restrictions and trail conditions can sometimes require changes. Any changes will be made keeping the safety of the group as the priority.
Yes. You should be comfortable walking for several hours on consecutive days. Preparing with regular walking, stairs and endurance training before the trip will make the journey much more comfortable.
