Auden’s Col is one of India’s toughest treks. It demands glacier travel, long walking hours, technical terrain, and high endurance. Only fit and experienced trekkers should attempt it.
Yes. You must have completed at least two high-altitude treks above 4,500 m. Basic mountaineering knowledge is a strong advantage.
Yes. You need crampons, helmets, harnesses, ropes, snow boots, and gaiters. We provide high-quality technical gear.
Day temperatures stay between 5°C to 10°C, while nights can drop to -10°C to -15°C at higher camps.
Yes. Porters, backpack offloading, ponies (till accessible areas), and mule support are available as optional services.
You must be able to run 5 km in under 35 minutes, carry a 10 kg backpack, and sustain long trekking days of 8–10 hours.
Yes. We strongly recommend 1–2 buffer days due to unpredictable weather on the glaciers.
After Gangotri, mobile networks do not work. Charging is possible only before the trek. We suggest carrying power banks.
No. This trek is strictly for advanced trekkers with high-altitude experience.
Yes. Evacuation via porter or mule support is possible till limited points. Beyond that, evacuation follows mountaineering protocols.
